We'd like, firstly, to celebrate the thousands of clients who’ve passed through our doors, used our services and voted with their feet for our unmistakable non-clinical ambience; combining a welcoming tranquillity with the sense that you could be having therapy at home
(particularly if your home happened to be an elegantly ‘faded in places’, beloved sort of space).
Our excellent group of counsellors and psychotherapists work alongside great body workers and traditional Chinese and Homeopathic medical practitioners, which means that The Whole Works is uniquely placed to take care of your mind and your body.
We are administrated at the desk by warm and knowledgeable professionals, putting you in safe hands from the moment you step through our big blue (but slightly hard to find) front door.
Our highly skilled therapists embrace both the old traditions and contemporary innovation. This means, for example, that we have the wisdom of ancient Chinese herbalism at your disposal as well as the latest techniques in trauma resolution, all under one stylishly-turreted roof!
Our 'information session' has been and continues to be our introduction to new clients to the world of complementary therapy, counselling and psychotherapy; recognising the need for information, education and a tailor-made course of suggested therapy for each individual case. We have listened to and advised over 10,000 people since 1992.
We want to celebrate the continuity of our practitioners, some of whom have been here since the early years - and the welcoming sense of community that has thus been created: a group of professionals who work together in diverse fields yet maintain a common ground and a common respect for each other’s work.
And we're also thanking the Edinburgh old town, and our building in particular, for giving us 18th century four feet thick walls, affording us a quiet oasis against the background rumble of the city.
